The Post at 750 - Startup Studio
A place to develop, film, rehearse, meet, create, and inspire.
This 1,100 sq ft space is ideal for larger-scale rehearsal, meetings, workshops, receptions and the like. Room can be set in a variety of configurations and can comfortably hold up to 40 people around tables, 60-70 people in theatre-style rows, or up to 90 people standing. The Studio is equipped with sprung marmoleum floors, blackout blinds, full drape, a floor-to-ceiling screen, mounted projector and A/V system for playing video and/or audio. The Startup Studio also features “rehearsal mode” light and audio controls, which require a house technician to be hired for orientation purposes.
Please note that the availability calendar reflects confirmed bookings only; holds may be in place for days/times that you request. After you submit your booking request we will advise you as soon as possible if holds are already in place for your requested date(s).

Hours Of Operation |
Facility Manager available to answer questions 9:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday (except for statutory/government holidays.) Renters are welcome to book any time of day, any day of the week.

Rental Policy |
RENTAL CONDITIONS
Rental Space is not a performance space and is not to be used as such. Purpose of booking is identified above.
For multi-day daytime rentals, renter has the option of paying a 15% surcharge to ensure exclusive use of studio.
The renter acknowledges that the Studio doors do not lock and the renter will leave valuable items in the Studio at their own risk. Renters are encouraged to bring lock boxes if necessary to store valuables on breaks and/or overnight.
The Rental Space comes with a limited number of tables and chairs. Renters may request tables and/or chairs up to 3 business days ahead of the booking start time. The 110 Arts Cooperative cannot guarantee availability of tables and/or chairs. Renter agrees to take responsibility for set-up and strike of tables and chairs.
Renters are required to bring in their own refreshments and supplies and are entitled to use Canteen facilities (sink, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, etc).
No animals are allowed in the building, with the exception of certified service animals.
Common Space areas are accessible to all member tenants and other renters, during and/or outside regular business hours.
The renter agrees to obtain liquor licenses if required. According to BC Liquor laws, the serving OR selling of liquor in a public space requires a liquor license. More information can be found here: http://pssg.gov.bc.ca/lclb/apply/special/index.htm
Renters are required to obtain general liability and property damage insurance for the duration of the rental in respect of the Rental Space and the Facility in which the Rental Space is situated with a combined limit of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence and will name 110 Arts Cooperative as additional insured. Renters can waive the right to insurance by signing a supplemental agreement.

• 30 to 59 days prior to start of booking – $50
• 10-29 days prior to start of booking - $100 or 25% of total rental, whichever is greater.
• less than 10 days prior to start of booking - $100 or total payable per rental agreement, whichever is greater.

Control of all audio and video functions is through a rack mounted LCD touchscreen in the A/V closet.
General lighting in the room is 2 circuits of recessed LED pot lights controlled by switches next to the door.
A manual system of blinds is available to blackout the space.
Black curtains can be deployed along the entire perimeter of the room. The curtains are moved on a track system and stored in an alcove in the NW corner of the room.
Lighting
A 12 channel dimming system of prerecorded lighting presets is accessible through a separate LCD touchscreen in the A/V closet.
All lights are hung on a 1.5″ steel pipe grid suspended 8″ below the ceiling. All of the lights are prefocused and changes are not permitted. (see technical info for a description of the available lighting presets)

Please note the Large Studio Audio/Visual system has two modes: Presentation and Rehearsal; renters requiring the more complicated Rehearsal mode will need assistance from our House Technician; technician rates available upon request.

A 12 channel dimming system is accessible through a console (ETC Smartfade 1248). The console plugs into DMX IN port in A/V Closet.
A separate DMX OUT port is located in the bulk head above the column.
Changes to lighting focus are permitted (see below)
