SpaceFinder BC is a matchmaking tool for renters looking for creative space, and spaces looking to promote their rentals. Powered by nonprofit Fractured Atlas, SpaceFinder BC is free to list or search for space.
Renters should contact venues directly with questions about booking a space, however for help related to your SpaceFinder account, Fractured Atlas offers the following options:

Why should I sign up for a free SpaceFinder account?
Lots of sites require you to create an account before you can explore. Not us. An account is NOT required to search for space or book a rental. While some time-saving options, such as saving search results, require logging in to access, the larger incentive behind creating a free account is helping us keep this resource free. To secure ongoing support for SpaceFinder, we must measure the impact, and by creating an account you take a powerful step in helping us answer the question ‘who does SpaceFinder help?’

Who do I contact about renting a space?
It’s best to contact the venue directly. Each listing specifies a venues’ preferred method of contact.
Is there a fee to book a space through SpaceFinder?
Nope! There is no fee to book online.
How does the info about rentals stay up to date?
The best way for venue info to stay up to date is for renters to tell venues they discovered them via SpaceFinder. This keeps the resource top of mind for a venue, and they will want to keep info up to date. In addition, calendars that show a space’s availability are automatically refreshed every day. If you see a listing that is inaccurate, please let us know and we will reach out to the venue.
How do I share a shortlist of spaces?
Once you’ve run your search, look above the map of search results and select the option “Save this search”. Your search will be saved to your dashboard. You can right click to copy the link and share it with your collaborators.
How do I find a specific type of space if there isn’t a search filter for what I need?
Keyword search is a tool for discovering new spaces based on super specific needs. Keyword search is helpful for when looking for a specific type of space like “church,” “outdoor,” or “gallery,” or when looking for a specific type of amenity like “3D-printer,”, “piano,” or “bar”. You can even get creative and search for keywords that connect you to spaces with a certain vibe, like “artist-friendly” or “corporate.”
I see there are lots of options to filter space, how can I sort my search results?
Search results can be sorted (ascending or descending) by name, size, seating capacity, and distance from a specific location. All of these options are found on the footer of the search results map.
